This site is all about the humble backyard shed. If you're like most people, your house just doesn't have anywhere suitable to store a shovel, or a lawnmower, or leaf blower. What you need is some sort of outdoor storage building - you need a shed.
Backyard sheds come in all shapes and sizes and can be made of various materials. A common material is wood, but you can also get vinyl, metal and even plastic storage sheds. You can buy them ready made from places like Home Depot or in buy a shed kit and assemble it. You can buy shed plans that tell you how to build a shed from scratch or you could just pay someone to do it for you.
For my mind, a man and his shed are a match made in heaven. Men like to own stuff - noisy, dirty, smelly mechanical stuff with motors and blades. Their wives don't want this stuff in their house so where does it go? You guessed it... the shed.
Now you might think that I'm just talking about garden sheds here, well I'm not. Sure, I've got some info about wooden garden sheds and even garden shed plans but a shed is so much more than a place to keep your grass trimmer.
A shed can be a place of refuge - perhaps somewhere to explore a hobby, such as a garage building filled with bits of old motors or a large metal storage shed containing a vintage car collection. It might be a just a summer house with a porch and a wooden chair just waiting for sunny day and a cold beer.
Or maybe the kids would love a playhouse? You could build one using info and resources found here.
Whatever you're interest - if its anything to do with sheds, this is the place to be. Go on... explore.
